28.09.25: We celebrate a forest festival with world heritage stalking
Autumn family festival with games and music in the middle of the national park
On Sunday, 28 September, the old beech forest on Rügen's chalk coast will be transformed into a place full of adventure, music and hands-on fun. Mimi & Krax, the animal ambassadors of the KÖNIGSSTUHL National Park Centre, are calling for the big World Heritage Stalk!
The World Heritage Stalk starts at 10 am with an exciting treasure hunt through the Jasmund National Park for children aged 6 to 12. Their mission: to find all the pieces of an old, secret forest script - and proclaim the message of the forest at the big forest festival. The children set off from the Sassnitz animal park in teams and with a guide and solve the coded forest message together on their 2.5 km route through the national park - the crowning finale with a snack and award ceremony awaits in the afternoon at the forest hall, where everyone else is already waiting.
The forest festival starts at 12 noon at the forest hall. A highlight of the day will be the performance by Thomas Putensen, the versatile musician from Greifswald. Known for his lively improvisations and songs full of joy, he mixes his own pieces with evergreens by Manfred Krug and Holger Biege - and actively invites the audience to sing in the forest.
A colourful day for the whole family awaits you from 12 noon to 4 pm - in the middle of the idyllic forest clearing near the Wissower Klinken, with:
- Live music & forest singing with Thomas Putensen (12-14.30)
- Announcement of the forest messages & award ceremony of the stalk (approx. 3 pm)
- Face painting & nature treasure hunt
- Stick bread & fire bowl
- Rescue dogs & demonstration
- World heritage exhibition & forest playground
- Bratwurst, chips, fizzy drinks, fresh waffles & more
